I had posted information about this where nobody would understand how I felt. So, I'm going to rewrite it here, because speaking is a lot fucking harder than writing about it. I can speak to myself a prepared speech all day, but actually trying it...oh, fuck no.
Having gotten into tarantulas just last year (end of February 2012), and knowing my care is good and well of them, this is very discouraging. Even though Freddy (whose grave is not present here, she was buried in the country-side) was an older T when I got her, it still sucks she was the first to pass last year. Then Morty (A. avic.) passed after just maturing, and I was told/read that they live four years as a male in that species. While I was freaking about about the health of my snakes (a video deleted) Buttons unexpectantly passed away. Now, last night/evening on March 25th, Xander, my bald-butted boy passed away. Even though I hadn't expected him to live that long, because he was a mature male when I got him, it just really is crushing that this seems to be happening in the colder months time frame that it has. We all know winter months can be very depressing for folks, especially those of us that really only have our critters for comfort. Humans NEED human contact. Lack of that can cause issues, I think that's been established.
I took very good care of my babies, as they are that, my children. I love them, loved them, always will. Water, humidity, food, is provided on daily and weekly basis. I do research on care, I check care videos and see what works for others, this goes on and on. I always want the best for my babies.
Lilith, the other grave in the video, was the female poss. het Albino Checkered Garter Snake to be paired with Sebastian. She died within two days of an unusual ailment.
So yes, this is hard, this is fucking hard. Things are supposed to be getting better this year...hopes are being crushed.
I just hope something GOOD, really good, happens soon.
I don't want sappy sympathy. I just figured you all who care for these amazing creatures would understand what I'm going through.
